Amanda Eccleston is from the BC interior, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Secwépemc Nation. As an introverted kid of the 90s she was encouraged to pursue any creative medium by her mother and took to drawing and painting. In 2004 she chose to enter into an art degree because it was the only subject matter she could pay attention to. Amanda graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 2008 from TRU in Kamloops where she found a love of clay. She has won two awards for her ceramic work in 2008 and 2016. She has participated in juried art shows and craft fairs across BC and Alberta with her work exhibited in Vancouver, Revelstoke and Kamloops. In 2017 she assisted the local Kamloops MakerSpace in introducing a ceramics program to their membership. Her ceramics have been collected by people from all over the world.
