eleanor hannan

Eleanor Hannan has engaged with textile art, painting and drawing for most of her life. She holds a BFA from the University of Manitoba and has exhibited her work throughout Canada and the UK. In her work, Eleanor enjoys applying her drawing skills and knowledge to her textile art practice. She has employed both sewing machine and free-motion embroidery, and has recently been developing hand embroidery techniques to create portraits and narrative techniques to enhance the stories she tells in her textile art. In addition to her artistic practice, Eleanor enjoys teaching.
