Jan Smith is a contemporary jewellery artist based on Salt Spring Island. She specializes in vitreous enamel on altered metal. Inspired by natural environments, the work features repetitive lines and dots that create delicate, tactile surfaces. She received a four-year annual grant from the Vancouver Foundation. Her work is also held in the Canada Council Art Bank Collection.
