Denise Jeffrey is a ceramics artist based in Burnaby. She obtained a BFA in ceramics from NSCAD in 1999. The recipient of numerous awards, she has exhibited her work in Canada and the US, and is currently greatly involved in BC's ceramics community. She strives to create pieces that can be appreciated for their form, colour and feel, yet can be used every day around the home. She employs carving, texturing and inlay as decorative elements throughout her work, drawing influence from traditional Asian ceramics and textiles as well as patterns of both natural and man made origin.
