Joanna combines traditional textile techniques with unconventional materials to explore visual incongruities. Since 1999, the artist has drawn inspiration from the island’s natural environment. Joanna has exhibited widely across Canada and the United States and was a finalist for the 2017 and 2021 Salt Spring National Art Prize.
