kinichi shigeno

Kinichi Shigeno is a ceramic artist born in Japan and based in Richmond. Trained in Seto and apprenticed under master potter Maseru Kamei, he later studied porcelain and cobalt painting in Arita and Hakata before immigrating to Canada in 1981. His functional and sculptural ceramics have been exhibited internationally and included in major public and institutional collections.
