Amanda is from the BC interior, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Secwépemc Nation. She spent her childhood drawing and painting and in 2004 she chose to enter into an art degree because it was the only subject matter she could pay attention to. Amanda graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 2008 from TRU in Kamloops where she found a love of clay.

She has won two awards for her ceramic work and has participated in juried art shows and craft fairs across BC and Alberta with her work exhibited in Vancouver, Revelstoke and Kamloops.
