Karen Clark is a ceramic artist living and working in Kamloops BC, on the unceded territory of the T’Kemlups Te Secwepemc.
Her passion for clay began in high school and has still been a passion and lifelong creative pursuit. Originally trained as a graphic designer, she brings a strong understanding of composition, colour theory, and line to her pottery practice.
Decades of self – directed study, complimented by select workshops, have shaped her distinctive approach to ceramics. Karen has been an active member of the Kamloops arts community since 1989, serving in many capacities with the Kamloops Potters Guild, Kamloops Arts Council and currently volunteers as the studio technician for the Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club. Formally known as KlayCentric Studio, she now creates as a Karen Clark Pottery.
She continues to learn and explore, inspired by her belief that clay, after all, is a study in patience.
