The terra cycle earrings are shaped from handmade recycled paper pulp in layers, forming an abstract rounded African-style design. Paper pulp is added for texture before letting them dry. Finally, I sand them to maintain their rustic charm.
Maya River's earrings embody the beauty of nature in both design and creation. Utilizing paper clay, Maya explores the link between human-made objects and the natural world. Guided by nature's inspiration, each piece is crafted with sustainability at its core, using recycled materials and handcrafted techniques. Patterns drawn from nature and African pottery lend Maya River's earrings a timeless appeal, rooted in the earthy essence of our world.
