Jessica Grebeldinger strives to craft high-quality, wearable jewellery with clean, modern lines and a pared-down, minimalist aesthetic. Her designs are meant to complement contemporary style, while thoughtful attention to natural movement allows each piece to come to life when worn. Inspiration is drawn from the world around her - moments of stillness on the beach near her coastal home or in the forest are where ideas begin to take shape. These concepts find their true form in the quiet of the studio, surrounded by the tools and materials of the jeweller's craft. Through her collection, Acorn & Anvil Designs, Jessica finds joy and purpose in creating jewellery that not only adds beauty to everyday life but also fosters a sense of intimate connection between maker and wearer.
Jessica Grebeldinger is a jewellery artist based on BC's Sunshine Coast in the seaside community of Roberts Creek. Born in the US, her early childhood was marked by movement between the States, Canada, and Latin America. In early adulthood, Jessica moved to Washington DC to pursue a career in international relations. In 2019, she happened upon silversmithing by choosing a random class from the Glen Echo Park course catalogue, home of Silverworks Studio by Blair Anderson. One metalsmithing class led to the next and soon enough she was hooked and commenced several years of self-directed learning and experimentation. Discovering her love for metalsmithing precipitated other life changes; in 2022 she relocated with her family to BC's Sunshine Coast where she launched her collection, Acorn & Anvil Designs, and began to make and sell jewellery full time. An appreciation for movement is found in her jewellery work as is a minimalist aesthetic that reflects simple elegance and her desire to create intensely wearable collections.
