Sherrin Kovach grew up in small British Columbia towns surrounded by mountains. She moved to the coast and received her BFA from the University of Victoria where she focused on printmaking and photography. Sherrin now uses her training in painting, drawing, and printmaking to make her ceramic work. Her pieces are heavily influenced by the Salish Sea just a short walk from her home studio and her life long love of the mountains and forests. Sherrin’s imagery ranges from abstract to realistic to cartoon. Sherrin has shown work with the Alberta Craft Council, The Ferry Building Gallery, Turnbull Gallery, has been featured on CTV, PC Magazine, and Discover Surrey.
