Enjoy this beautifully textured, wooden salad bowl with minimalistic dark outer embellishment. A well-crafted and functional piece to add to your home.

Care Instructions
This bowl is made from wood, a natural material that is subject to the changes in our four seasons. Your bowl should be handled with care and protected from moisture and direct sunlight.

Do not leave food standing in it for long periods of time, salad oils may stain the wood.

Its finish is a food safe penetrating oil. To maintain its satin lustre, it should be oiled periodically with a food safe oil such as, Pure Tung Oil, Walnut Oil, or another curing oil. Mineral Oil is OK but does not cure. No vegetable oils, please, they may turn rancid.

Hand wash only; wipe it off and leave it to air dry. Please, do not soak it or put it in the dishwasher.

Allan Cusworth's first exposure to woodturning was in high school in Cobourg, Ontario, but it wasn't until moving to British Columbia in the early 1990s that Allan took a serious interest in the craft. He currently belongs to two local woodturners’ guilds as well as the American Association of Woodturners. He is recognized for his platters, bowls, and engraved pens, as well as his unique hollow vessels and wedding goblets. He takes specific interest in fine buffing his pieces to create a shiny finish.

Allan's goal is to make each piece of work unique by embellishing wood grain patterns and natural wood colouration. His platters and bowls are generally finished with food-safe materials and are meant to be used. However, many become display pieces when purchased by his international customers. His style is constantly changing as he looks for that special piece of wood he can transform into a beautiful piece of functional art.
