Qing is an emerging artist from China currently studying at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD) in Halifax, Canada, pursuing a double major in painting and jewellery design. He primarily works with oil paint while also developing skills in metalwork and jewellery making.

Qing has experience studying traditional filigree techniques, which influenced his interest in detailed surface work, line, and material craftsmanship. His practice often draws from observations of everyday life, which he reinterprets through memory, imagination, and hands-on making.

Qing has participated in student exhibitions at NSCAD, presenting work that reflects his developing approach between fine art and craft. As an emerging artist, he is focused on building a body of work that connects painting, material process, and object-based practice.
