Wendy Verbaas working with ceramics is a recent addition to Wendy’s artistic exploration. She studied at her local studio, and immediately gravitated towards the freedom of handbuilding. Exploring the natural world through her travel adventures and her love for gardening, her main source of inspiration is the flora and fauna of the West Coast outdoors. From the simple to the intricate, she interprets her experiences in sculptural works for both indoor and outdoor installations. She alternates working at a Vancouver-based studio and her personal studio in Whistler, B.C.
