7.0 x 2.0 x 0.5 cm

fine silver, sterling silver, vitreous enamel, nano ceramic coating

These earrings were created using a combination of forging, vitreous enamelling in the plique-à-jour style, nano ceramic plating, and hand texturing.

Porsha Troost is an emerging enamel jewellery artist and an honours graduate of the Jewellery Arts advanced diploma program at George Brown College in Toronto. She is currently pursuing graduate gemmology certification through the Gemological Institute of America.

As an avid gardener, she draws much inspiration from the beauty, frailty and transient nature of plants. Through a combination of enamel, alternative metals, and mokume gane, her work captures organic forms by using rich colouration to evoke a sense of enchantment, nostalgia, and whimsy.

Porsha has been awarded the Dean's Medal (2019/2020) and Pierres des Charme awards (2021/2022) from George Brown College and participated in group exhibitions in Toronto, Halifax, New York, Baltimore, Vancouver, and Quebec City.
