.950 recycled silver, recycled cotton thread, hand-harvestedh hawaiian sand, crystal glass

Yaxte's creations blend meticulous craftsmanship with deeply personal inspiration. For this piece .950 Recycled Silver is carefully melted and shaped into three hollow circular boxes, which are then precisely soldered together to create a unique layered design. One of the hollow boxes features delicate French knot embroidery, applied by hand on the silver sheet. The other box carries hand-harvested Hawaiian sand, which is encased in a crystal glass piece that is set to showcase the natural material. The inspiration for this piece, titled "Nalu Breeze," is deeply personal. It represents a nostalgic connection to the artist's last memories in Hawaii with someone once loved. The combination of silver, hand embroidery, and Hawaiian sand is a tribute to the serene beauty of the ocean and the emotional significance of those cherished moments spent by the sea.

Catherinn Campoy is a passionate silversmith with a deep commitment to her craft. After completing a two-year jewellery course, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design to further enhance her skills. Throughout the four years of her studies, she expanded her knowledge of various techniques and materials while also developing expertise in user-centered design, ergonomics, technical drawing, sketching, modelling, and design software. As part of her degree, Catherinn chose a community service initiative aimed at empowering indigenous communities in Mexico through skill development. This transformative experience profoundly influenced her creative journey and led to the founding of Yaxte Jewellery, an intimate project where she experiments with natural materials and draws inspiration from the inherent beauty of nature. Since then, Catherinn has continually refined her craft, evolving her style and cultivating a unique artistic identity.
