After the winter semester last year, Daisy(Seung-yeon Lee) embarked on her first trip to Europe, visiting London. She was captivated by the diverse historic architecture, romantic nightscapes, countless art galleries, black-painted traffic lights, red double-decker buses with checkered seats, and even the gloomy weather that unexpectedly brought her joy. The bustling streets reminded her of Korea, where she grew up, evoking a comforting sense of familiarity. Two memories stood out the most for her: the dried flowers she purchased at Columbia Road Flower Market and the meringue cake lovingly baked by her boyfriend's mother. Every time she looks at the photo from that day, she feels as though she is back in London, embraced by its warmth and charm. Inspired by this sentiment, she designed these earrings to encapsulate that feeling. Crafted from sterling silver, the earrings feature a subtle curve and a matte texture on the upper part to evoke the soft and airy essence of meringue. Transparent resin encases delicate dried flowers, preserving the cherished memories of that day. Through this design, Daisy invites wearers to experience the playful harmony of vibrant flower petals and the gentle, comforting texture of meringue.

Daisy (Seung-Yeon Lee) is a passionate artist from Korea who discovered her love for jewellery design through curiosity and perseverance. After earning a degree in Industrial Management, she worked in corporate settings but soon realized that the conventional career path was not for her. Seeking new experiences, she explored theater performance, writing, and obtained certifications as a childcare teacher and nail technician. At the age of 28, she published her first independent essay. In 2016, she moved to Australia on a working holiday visa, where she was exposed to a multicultural environment that broadened her perspective. Upon returning to Korea, she discovered her passion for crafting and began creating resin accessories. In 2019, she officially launched her business, combining sales with teaching craft classes. In 2022, Daisy immigrated to Canada and obtained permanent residency. She is currently studying jewellery design at VCC College, with a particular interest in organic wax carving, resin and botanical elements, and transforming intangible emotions into art. Her ultimate dream is to create with the fearless and joyful spirit of a child, as if playfully doodling. After graduation, she plans to establish an art studio where clients can actively participate in designing and crafting their own jewellery pieces. Her boundless curiosity and passion continue to drive her artistic journey and inspire new creative endeavors.
