Hand forged solid 925 sterling silver Icelandic Wolf Cross Pendant.
"This piece was inspired by an intriguing accidental archaeological find in Iceland in 1910. The story goes that a farmer found it lodged in the hoof of one of his cows. She was limping and when he investigated the cause, he found this ancient pendant.
It is referred to by various names: FENRIR,
Wolf Cross, Viking Hammer, Thor’s Hammer Cross, among others. Its true meaning is a bit of an enigma but most theories suggest it is a blending of Christian and Pagan symbols. (The cross and the wolf’s head). On exhibition in the national museum in Reykjavik, this artifact is dated to be from around the 11th century.
*This version made by us is not an exact copy of the original but closely resembles it.* "
