Sally Prangley is known for her inventive ways of working with wire, most often by combining wire with paper or found objects to create 3-dimensional sculptural jewellery. Sally is also recognized for creating striking colour combinations and patterns in her paper designs, and using unusual and often vintage objects in her found object designs. She describes her jewellery as small geometric sculptures that are eclectic, yet very wearable. They reflect her personality: colorful, somewhat elegant, and quirky. Sally wants her jewellery to add smiles to both the people who wear it and to those who see it.

Sally grew up near Seattle, with her fingers wrapped around a pencil and sketchbook. Sally has a BA/psychology and minor/art history from Northwestern University and MBA/marketing from George Washington University. Sally left the corporate world 39 years ago to be a professional artist. Largely self-taught, she realized her interest was in alternative materials and techniques. After working with wood for 10 years making objects for the home, Sally learned traditional basketry and shifted to making wire + paper and wire + found object baskets. Sally's love for jewellery meant wire + paper and wire + found object jewellery soon followed. Sally's work is in galleries and museum stores across the US. In December 2024, Sally was invited to participate in the international Cluster Jewellery Fair in London.
