This piece is part of The Earring Show, an annual fundraiser for the Craft Council of BC that highlights contemporary jewellery design. The exhibition sheds light on the timeless connection between craft and culture, and how they influence each other.

Vanessa was born in rainy Vancouver, British Columbia. She graduated from Vancouver Community College's Jewellery Arts and Design program in 2020. To further her studies, she traveled across the country to attend Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Major in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing in 2024. During that same year, she held her solo show Sugar Crash at the Anna Leonowens Gallery and the group show Intimate Wonders at the Mary E. Black Gallery.
