This piece is part of The Earring Show, an annual fundraiser for the Craft Council of BC that highlights contemporary jewellery design. The exhibition sheds light on the timeless connection between craft and culture, and how they influence each other.

miyuki size 15 gold olive translucent glass seed beads, 14kt gold-filled earring wires, headpins, and rolo chain, 14kt gold-filled caps, wood core beads, and fireline self dyed beading thread
The bead weaving technique used is a traditional gourd stitch over a wood bead for structure. The 14kt gold-filled wire is hand wrapped.
Alexandra has her own unique, ever-changing, and playful approach to jewellery design. She is a self-taught skilled artist, and has been creating one-of-a-kind and limited-edition jewellery for over 30 years. Alexandra approaches her craft with positive intention and much care to detail, with the desire to create something unique. She celebrates beauty in simplicity, and endeavours to create pieces that connect and resonate with the wearer on a personal level.
