This piece is part of The Earring Show, an annual fundraiser for the Craft Council of BC that highlights contemporary jewellery design. The exhibition sheds light on the timeless connection between craft and culture, and how they influence each other.

Hand molded silver clay bead, torch fired to sinter and cure, bronze and sterling silver round wires shaped and soldered closed. Bead hand wrapped with sterling ball pin. Organic asymmetrical design. Hand polished.
Sue Muir is the artist behind FLO Design Co. She has been designing and creating uniquely organic jewellery in her home studio (est. 2017) in North Vancouver. Largely self taught, Sue has also sought out valuable instruction from highly regarded silversmiths internationally. Notable achievements include invitation and exhibition at Romanian Jewelry Week 2022, publication in British Vogue 2021, Participation in Munich Jewellery Week 2022/23, and invitation and exhibition at The Accessory Circle, UK 2023.
Prior to immersing herself in the world of jewellery, Sue was a sought-after professional photographer for two decades. Alongside her creative endeavours, Sue has participated in many important fundraising campaigns. She studied Public Engagement at Simon Fraser University.
