With these earrings, fabric manipulation techniques are reinterpreted in the medium of metal. Bending and scoring creates darts that bring three-dimensional structure to a silver sheet. The "X" motif marks the path crossed, a decision, a choice, a memory formed, a destination set, an action in motion.
At the intersection of jewellery, art, and design, Sharon Wong is an artist and jeweller who finds beauty in the everyday. As a jeweller with a background in fashion design, she continuously thinks about our relationship with adornment and the connection to the objects we surround ourselves with.
