This chunky basket ring is a great everyday piece! It is solid, yet intricately woven in sterling silver.
Chi Cheng Lee's contemporary jewellery exposes beauty through the simplicity of form and texture. Her jewellery reflects the integration of past and present cultures with a twist of East meets West. Sterling silver is the main material that Chi uses for her jewellery.
However, Chi often accents her pieces with karat gold, vermeil and semi-precious stones and pearls. Most of her pieces are made using a combination of different techniques such as casting, fabrication, forming, hammering, wire weaving and crocheting with beads. Jewellery pieces are finished using high polish, engraved textures and oxidized black.
Vermeil: Is a gold plating process, developed in France in the mid-1700s. It is a combination of sterling silver and gold. The gold must be at least 10 karat (42%).
