japanese glass beads
An attractive, stunning pair of earrings beaded using Japanese glass beads in warm, summery colours.
Delia believes that in a world that battles viruses, diseases, hunger, violence, fires and senseless wars it is in chronic need for understanding, kindness, peace, patience, and above all LOVE. She believes that art and science are interconnected and humanity should have a wide vision to conquer all challenges and heal through love. She believes that art itself would not resolve societies present issues, but she strongly has faith in its huge role of helping alleviate these global wounds. Furthermore, she believes in one universal language, the language of art of any kind and that beauty starts from within and should not be separated from what surrounds us. Delia hopes that her art brings joy, pleasure and love to anyone wearing it or seeing it. Delia's goal is to create spectacular, meaningful, hypnotic, surprising works of art. She creates each piece as a meditation of colour and form, pattern and texture aiming to bring a warm feeling of joy to the eye and love to the heart. She loves to mix mediums by combining semi-precious stones, beads, leather, clay and many other materials. Her art is borderline of haute couture, fine art and craft. She starts an idea from a hand sketch and from there, she digitally designs it using several software programs, often going back and forth from markers to the computer. After that, many bead, leather and clay techniques, are used. The design process brings her excitement, freedom, and joy. She feels her art as a whole, loud and explosive symphony.
Delia is a contemporary artist who grew up in Romania and lives in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. She holds a Master degree in Architecture and Urban Planning and her architectural and artistic career spans over three decades and two continents. She began making art in 2010, and since then, she created and sold over 5,000 pieces of jewellery around the globe. In 2019, once she decided to concentrate on her artistic work, her art career took off quickly, earning international recognition. Delia's art won several international competitions and her latest bead sculptures won first place and are featured along other pieces in the Museum of Beadwork, Portland. She draws her inspiration from all textures, colours and materials and loves to create daring, statement jewellery and quirky, unusual décor. Her complex art is inspired by her background, reminiscent of architectural plans/landscape/geometry, and also nature/vegetation/creatures. Her contemporary style jewellery is made for the confident, unconventional woman who wants to be noticed by making a sensational impact in today's society. Furthermore, her dècor pieces are a delight to any eye.
