The wonders and fragility of marine ecosystem experienced while SCUBA diving propel Sherry Cordova to create wearable portrayals of the stories within our oceans. 

Sherry spotlights anthropogenic changes in our seas by deconstructing and modifying microscopic marine fauna into laser cut layers. The industrially produced stainless steel fasteners used to rejoin layers back into creatures are a subtle reminder to the wearer of our effect on even the smallest of life forms. All low tarnish silver or titanium layers are textured and hand finished. Gemstones are tension set between the thin layers, keeping the earrings lightweight. Each visually striking earring is unique.
