This piece is part of The Earring Show, an annual fundraiser for the Craft Council of BC that highlights contemporary jewellery design. The exhibition sheds light on the timeless connection between craft and culture, and how they influence each other.

Each glass bead is individually flame-worked at the torch, utilizing meticulous colour application and precise patterning. Employing traditional smithing techniques, these elements are then integrated into hand-fabricated sterling-silver settings.
Chris Terry is a graduate of Pittsburg State University, where he studied under the renowned jeweller, Marjorie Schick. This foundational training in sculptural form and conceptual jewellery provided the springboard for an experimental practice that Chris continues today.
His work has been recognized on an international stage, recently being named as a Top 20 finalist for the Your Bead for Venice 2025 competition. Additionally, his work was selected for the SNAG (Society of North American Goldsmiths) exhibition, EXPOSED!, during New York City Jewelry Week 2025. Chris currently lives and works in Missouri, where he maintains a dedicated home studio.
