Care Instructions:

This woodenware is finished with Tung Oil, made from the Tung Nut which is an edible nut so the finish is considered food safe, with the possible exception of those with nut allergies.

Avoid using your woodenware for liquids (chip dips, salsas, etc.) as this may affect the finish. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth or do a very quick hand wash in soap water and rinse, then dry right away. Never soak your woodenware in water and do NOT place in dishwasher (or microwave!) as this will likely damage or remove the finish from the wood.

If the finish wears over time, another light coat of Tung Oil is best but otherwise, you can use mineral oil (edible type from your drugstore) or another product suitable for a wood finish. An alternative to using oils is “Claphams Beeswax Salad Bowl Finish”. Apply a thin coat, allow some to dry and then buff with a soft cloth.
