Inspired by my drawings these earrings were created using a collage approach to the making in terms of composition and placement. The pair is reversible exploring different colour combinations and dialogues on each side creating an element of play for the wearer. Each component of the piece is hand laminated, cut, filed and treated before being intricately embroidered together.

Faye Hall works across textiles and wearable objects. Originally trained in Textile and fashion Design at the Glasgow School of Art, Scotland, Faye has developed her textiles practice to include the creation of colourful, playful and tactile wearable objects. Influenced by her drawing practice, Faye generates unique pieces of jewellery that explore form, colour and materiality. As well as investigating this intrinsic dialogue between colour and shape, her work is anchored to exploring the relationships between contrasts; soft textile against the coldness of precious metal, the texture of a heavily embellished surface against smooth wood, among others.
