stainless steel woven tubing, aluminum, brass
The ornamented sections of Celestia Major are comprised of two articulated loops, both created from heavy gauge, stainless-steel tubing with an aluminum core. Endlessly tailorable for every neckline while remaining stiff enough to require no clasp. The end caps are ornamented with various brass casings. This particular piece has basic brass end caps.
Adam Russcher's early metal smithing interests and development started while taking welding and blacksmithing courses in Vancouver and Nelson, BC, where he focused on making small metal sculptures and home decor. In 2005, he travelled to Mexico and apprenticed under master silversmiths Antonio and Enrique Lopez. They are a father and son team with a long history of teaching and jewellery making in San Miguel de Allende. In 2006, Adam returned to San Miguel de Allende and was accepted into Billy King's Sterling Quest School of Silver Jewellery Design And Creation. Adam has made handcrafted metal and glass jewellery in Mexico, Brazil, Vancouver, and Edmonton.
