This stage establishes the shape, texture, and intention of the piece. Working in wax allows for organic, fluid movement. In this design, that softness is used to replicate the flowing form of melting sorbet scoops. Stones are carved directly into the wax to create custom bezels before casting, a process that takes approximately 24 hours. Once cast, each piece is pickled, polished, and the stones are set by hand, bringing the work fully to life.

Raissa Graham is a storyteller, a jeweller, and the maker behind Solder & Salt, creating hand-forged fine jewellery in silver and gold. Her work balances organic form with thoughtful structure, rooted in intentional design, slow craft, and storytelling. As a self-taught jeweller, she is proud of every skill that is self taught and hard earned.

Raissa creates jewellery to hold the memory of people, places, and moments in time. Each piece becomes part of her own story or translates a client's story into wearable art. She views jewellery as a powerful object of meaning and experience rather than something driven by trend.

Before focusing fully on jewellery, Raissa spent over nine years working in outdoor education, experiential learning, and nature-based therapy. These experiences shaped how she moves through the world and approaches making. The landscapes that grounded her, particularly the ocean, continue to influence her studio practice and guide her sense of form, rhythm, and intention.

Raissa has participated in juried and curated shows, including One of a Kind Show Toronto, Make It Vancouver, and Winter Bazaar Victoria, as well as numerous artisan markets throughout the year. These experiences have been central to building her customer base, refining her brand identity, and engaging directly with collectors who value handmade, story-driven work.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0277/2805/2272/files/62208684586-Media-02_9c98a745-c948-4dc4-93d5-312faced4886.jpg?v=1777411870
