Linda Read’s home and jewelry studio are in the Strathcona neighborhood of Vancouver. Her journey with metal began in a night school class in 2002. Her pieces are individually fabricated out of sterling silver, gold and semi-precious gems. Linda often accents her pieces with Keum Boo- an ancient Korean technique of fusing gold to silver and loves working with texture on metal. She is motivated by the design challenge of an unusual shape or size of stone and strives to find the balance between beauty and comfort.
