Sterling Silver and Aquamarine
The piece "Protection" was made out of upcycled sterling silver.
It was originally a free-form cast form of beans, it looks smooth and calming by itself, but I have made a vulcanized silicone rubber mold to give more possibilities to the form, and made multiple copies then restructured the form in its wax models.
As the theme of the earring is protection, I am hoping the wearer can have it on daily to remind him/her to self-love while trying to protect what's precious to them. The earrings are 5g and 6.5g on each side, which is not heavy and will be suitable for daily wear. Also, the hardness of aquamarine will tolerate most of the potential scratches from normal daily activities.
