Cotton, Copper, Brass
For the work, "Nights in Lisbon" the materials used are filigree, cotton thread and base, copper wire and velvet fabric. The main technique used is embroidery. Plated copper arches were sawn to the earrings' bodies. The earrings were finished with handmade matching cotton tassels. They were complete with velvet back and finished with a filigree pattern over it. The sides were finished also with matching tiny filigrees.
The inspiration for these earrings is colorful embroidered clothing patterns from various cultures from Europe, India and Latin America. The idea was to create fun lightweight and sophisticated colorful jewellery.
