Reclaimed Leather, 14K Gold plated hooks
These are a twist on our classic Orbit earrings, featuring long hooks, gold lamé leather, and our signature marbled leather. We create this effect by thickening water, and floating paint on the surface. We pick up the swirled designs from the water onto scraps of leather. As with all our marbled designs, there will be some variation in each piece. The pair you select will have the same colours as the ones pictured, but there will be variation in the marbled pattern.

While completing her undergrad in Fashion Design at Kwantlen, Carlson developed a love for Upcycling out of a desire to create beautiful things from fashion industry waste. Through the process of experimentation, leather became a favourite to use as an embellishment - creating tassels or patches to add on to clothing. Eventually those tassels evolved into earrings, and Carlson's focus shifted to making jewelry.
Scandinazn was founded in 2012, with the desire to explore elements of design from her heritage, while shining light on the often wasteful nature of the fashion industry. Scandinazn is all about promoting creative self-expression and sustainability through ethically-made jewelry.
