reclaimed leather, shock cord, telephone wire, silicone beads and glue

They host stainless steel lever back hooks. I created a hoop with shock cord and cut silicone tubing beads that spell "love" in morse code. I then added a leather decorative top of the earrings. I glued a backing to make them clean in the back Miller uses unconventional materials to create her sculptural jewellery. Materials such as, silicone tubing, shock cord, reclaimed leather and telephone wire. She also uses a variety of other wires mainly, aluminum, steel and coloured coated copper. She is inspired by the world around her, what's happening in our society and her place within it. She likes to use jewellery as her medium to help communicate what she feels. Her Morse Code series is her reaction to the miscommunication that is happening all around us. Simple messages of reassurances to remind one that life is what you make it. The morse code is written in silicone beads that spell out simple messages that cannot be misconstrued. Miller uses the shock cord and the telephone wire to create flowing lines and give colour to her pieces. In the am she also added an assortment of decorative beads and glow in the dark, green tubing. In the Love earrings she used reclaimed leather. All her earrings host stainless steel earring lever back hooks.
