wood, cedar braid
This heirloom cribbage board is made from reclaimed wood from Vancouver Island and features designs distinct to the Pacific Northwest environment. The cribbage board comes with pegs and cards.
Lynn Gray, a member of the MIWG, makes beautiful charcuterie and cribbage boards that feature themes of land, sea, air. Her functional pieces are also described as works of art. The boards are burned one dot at a time with a wood burning tool on an extremely high heat. Each of her pieces feature a First Nations Hand Pulled Cedar Board Braid made by two First Nations artists, Ken F. Cooper and Gina A. Hunt. These braids are extremely durable, similar to leather, and can be used to safely hang the board.
