recycled sterling silver

Hand carved in wax and casted in recycled sterling silver.

As a metalsmith, I find immense joy in transforming raw materials into wearable items. Through the manipulation of metal, I aim to create pieces that not only reflect my artistic vision but also evoke emotions and spark conversations. I adore how intensely a tiny jewelry piece reflects its owner's spirit and I am aiming to create work of art that would bring its owners inner self out.

My creative process starts with a sketch or an idea that resonates with me deeply. I draw inspiration from the art of ancient world and civilizations, seeking to capture the essence of these elements in my metalwork. With careful consideration of form, ergonomic, texture, and color, I strive to bring my visions to life.

Working with metal is a dance between strength and delicacy, working with fire means you are on the edge all the time. It requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of the material's properties. Through techniques such as forming, sawing, hammering, soldering, and stone setting, I shape and mold the metals such as silver, brass or copper. Additionally, I also work on enameling and the traditional lost-wax carving technique, which have become another significant aspect of my creative journey.

In my work, I am combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, I strive to create pieces that are both timeless and storytelling.

Metalsmithing allows me to create pieces that reflect traditional techniques with new world ideas. It allows me to dig deep into my soul and let my voice be heard and my biggest aim to create pieces that are both timeless and storytelling.
