Ones travels in the mountains, through the forests, and along the coastlines consist of moments that are fleeting, though they persist in one's mind long after they've gone. The landscape and how it changes, and the objects within them, can bring about great wonder as one imagines their own journey, their own changes. The small wooden fragments included in these earrings: Where did they come from? How long have they been here? What stories could they tell? The process of exploring these questions continues as the wood and the metal is played across the hands, manipulated and transformed into tokens of remembrance, wearable objects that carry the story to new places, while still speaking of their past. The more they are worn, the more they will change, and the story will continue on.
