These earrings are inspired by my old window boxes that I sowed with random wildflowers to bloom outside of my workshop one summer when I was living on the prairies. When the sky is blue as far as the eye can see, the West Coast in me craved something wild and woodsy that would remind me of summer days spent on a family friend's bee farm among the blackberry bushes and flowers.
The size is more approximate than specifically accurate due to the design of these earrings. They are quite light and easy to wear, they have lovely movement to them as well. There is a definite right and left as well. The flowers face out one way and aren't seen as well the other way. The closure is very secure and they look great as they age and tarnish starts to deepen the corners and crevasses.
If you prefer, use a gentle silver cleaner to keep the earrings shiny, but they are intended to have a season to them. I like to buff just the surfaces I can easily touch with my hands through a polishing cloth. This keeps them looking shiny and beautiful while still encouraging a natural tarnish to creep through the deep places.
