Originally trained as a graphic designer, she brings a strong understanding of composition, colour theory, and line to her pottery practice.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eDecades of self – directed study, complimented by select workshops, have shaped her distinctive approach to ceramics. Karen has been an active member of the Kamloops arts community since 1989, serving in many capacities with the Kamloops Potters Guild, Kamloops Arts Council and currently volunteers as the studio technician for the Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club.
