4.5 x 59 x 21 cm
wood, cedar braid
This board features a bear, orca and eagle and is aptly titled 'Land, Sea, Air'. This heirloom piece is both functional, to be used to as serving tray, and also truly a work of art.
Care Instructions: Clean your charcuterie board after each food serving by hand with very little soap and warmish water (no dishwasher!). Allow it to dry upright, seperate from other boards or kitchen utenstils. Do not leave your board in water. Use a food-safe mineral oil and lint-free cloth to polish your board once a month or more, depending on use, to protect your board and maintain an attractive finish.
Lynn Gray, a member of the MIWG, makes beautiful charcuterie and cribbage boards that feature themes of land, sea, air. Her functional pieces are also described as works of art. The boards are burned one dot at a time with a wood burning tool on an extremely high heat. Each of her pieces feature a First Nations Hand Pulled Cedar Board Braid made by two First Nations artists, Ken F. Cooper and Gina A. Hunt. These braids are extremely durable, similar to leather, and can be used to safely hang the board.
