This necklace features a barrel bead pendant, hand-cast from a Great Slave Lake whitefish vertebrae. "Tucho" is the Dene word for Great Slave Lake and this series engages with April's experiences on the shores of Tucho crafting jewellery from the offerings the lake gives in the form of stones, vertebrae, driftwood, bark, and occasionally glass.
