The April full moon is sometimes known as the Hare Moon.
A sterling silver hare leaps across the embossed copper background of these earrings. The subtle texture of the background was failed rolling mill pattern experiment but adds such lovely depth to the plate. The patterned full moon comes from the same textured silver featured in the Daucus Moon crescents. The sterling frame and hare are also recycled components, created from sterling scrap that was refined and cast into an ingot, then rolled out into sheets.
