The Burcu Collection

Burcu Büyükünal was the Limited Edition category winner at this year's Earring Show. We are thrilled to present this featured collection that contains both her winning designs from this past May and new designs. 

She describes her work as both functional and non-functional, artistic and arbitrary; designs that cannot be classified easily. In her work, she focuses on technique, material and/or visual data and then create links among them. Through this process, she produces work that illuminates her point of view. Burcu enjoys the routine or habits involved in the process of creation but also finds theme shifts nourishing and exciting.

Burcu is a graduate of the Istanbul Technical University Department of Industrial Product Design (BSc), received a Fulbright Award for her masters in the US, and completed her MFA in Metal at State University in New York. After returning to Turkey, she co-founded a contemporary jewellery studio in 2011. She is currently an educator of contemporary jewellery and industrial design in Turkey.
